American manufacturer announces investment in construction equipment in Brazil. The company brings the latest technologies in construction machinery, its lines of backhoes and excavators - these will be produced in Brazil by late 2013.
John Deere is initiating the construction of two new manufacturing plants in the country. Total investment will be approximately US$ 180 million, of which US$ 124 million will be invested by Deere alone. The company is working on establishing a distribution network to market its equipment and provide maintenance services. "Brazil is one of the world’s fastest growing markets for construction equipment," says Samuel Allen, CEO of Deere & Company. The actual beginning of the company’s business activities in Brazil, as regards the plants that are being built, is a very important step toward strengthening relationships and targeting strategies to serve customers in the sector.
At the company’s six thousand square meter stand, Volvo Construction Equipment Latin America presents a series of innovations that practically cover its entire line of equipment. "Volvo has brought to M&T Expo equipment and solutions that cater to all the applications the market requires," says Yoshio Kawakami, president of Volvo Construction Equipment Latin America.
Besides the innovations adopted in various equipment, the company is launching at the trade show its new line of skid steer loaders. That’s four new C-Series machines, whose cabs were completely redesigned to provide greater comfort, safety and ergonomics for equipment operators. As a result, there should be an increase in operator performance. The cab is closed and sealed. It has a sliding window, windshield wiper, heating and air conditioning and tempered glass windows. The side door extends along the full length of the cab, ensuring greater ease of access.
Besides the company’s skid steer loaders, Volvo displays its new line of B-Series backhoes. The BL60B and BL70B models bring a series of technological advances, benefits and news. "Ergonomically designed, the B-Series provides greater operator comfort and increased productivity for those doing maintenance," says Kawakami.
