At a a press conference held June 1st at the Centro de Exposições Imigrantes in São Paulo - Brazil, Sobratema president Afonso Mamede released surprising data on the show. In a total exhibition area of 62,000 m², 493 exhibitors, of which 226 international with 151 from Asia, the show is expected to log 48,000 visitors by time it closes on June 2nd. "That’s a growth of 25% in public compared to the 2009 edition. This is a history-making edition; we realize everyone’s satisfaction when we talk to visitors and exhibitors alike," said the association’s president.
According to Mamede, the latest offerings in technology attracted the public; the attractive stands, introductions of large machines, and besides the “Visit Meter” - an innovation which allows exhibitors to see the number of visitors in real time.
