He has visited Randon booth, where he took part in a solemnity when he symbolically received the keys of 382 Randon backhoe loaders purchased by his Ministry to be used in the PCA 2 (the Growth Acceleration Program) projects. The equipments that were bought by the Ministry will be allotted to the family agriculture programs which, according to the ministry, account for 10% of Brazilian GNP and 36% of exports of the agriculture sector.

The second phase of the program involves more than 3200 pieces of equipment. For David Randon, director of Randon, the event had a special meaning for the company, as it is celebrating 10 years of manufacture of the backhoe loader. “We have 3500 of these machines all over Brazil”, informed the executive.
The ceremony also counted on the presence of José  Velloso Dias Cardoso, the first vice-president of Abimaq – Associação Brasileira da Indústria de Máquinas e Equipamentos. At the end of the solemnity, the minister pointed out the relevance of M&T Expo. “This is an extremely important fair, as it offers to the market a set of machines and equipments which are necessary to the development of Brazil, especially as far as the mining and heavy construction sectors are concerned. In this fair, we have the opportunity to see the best of technology applied to these sectors”.
