Market Study will have news for its 2012/2013 edition
The aim is to learn about penetration of equipment manufacturers established in Brazil and in a few Latin-American countries in these markets.
The Sobratema Study of the Brazilian Market for Construction Equipment will bring an innovation in its next edition (the 6th) which is scheduled for release on November 13th 2012 at the ‘Espaço Hakka’ in the city of São Paulo. The study will enlarge its scope to include the Latin-American market, especially certain pre-selected countries. According Nelson Costabile, Sobratema manager for the program, the aim is to learn about how these markets work, their trends, and the penetration of equipment manufacturers established in Brazil and in a few Latin-American countries in these markets.
“Brazil is a center of world production of construction equipment, both for the internal market as well as for export. It is estimated that around 40% of the value of Brazilian exports of construction equipment is directed toward the Latin-American market, largely because major Brazilian construction companies execute infrastructure works in those countries while these countries are, concurrently, implementing their own policies of investment in infrastructure,” Costabile points out. And he adds, “The countries of Latin America also import equipment from other countries.”
Sobratema engages the consulting services of British journalist Brian Nicholson and Professor Rubens Sawaya of the São Paulo Catholic University (PUC). Since their engagement, the association has taken the initiative of deepening its knowledge on this market and disseminating that information.
The Sobratema Study of the Brazilian Market for Construction Equipment reports the quantity of equipment sold throughout the year and prepares a projection of demand for the following five-year period. Its target public consists of players in the market of equipment in general: manufacturers; users; suppliers of parts, components and inputs; finance organizations and associations in the sector of construction equipment.
