Associate members have special benefits to participate in Technical Missions

The next Technical Mission will be to MINExpo which takes place in September of this year. Read more.

Associate members of Sobratema enjoy a series of advantages to participate in the Technical Missions organized by Sobratema’s area of international relations. Besides a more inviting price in certain travel packages, membership means you get your credentials for access to the exhibition pavilions in advance.

Another benefit that members enjoy is a discount or even full exemption from the payment of their registration fee to participate in international trade shows. “Unlike what happens in Brazil, admission to most events at venues abroad is not free of charge,” explains Arlene Vieira, Director of International Relations for Sobratema. MINExpo, for instance, the next trade show to which Sobratema is organizing a technical mission, charges a registration fee of US$ 100 for admission to the show. The registration fee is waived, however, for members of the Sobratema delegation.

Furthermore, at the main trade shows held in North America, associate members of Sobratema get distinct, preferential treatment: a VIP I.D. badge that provides freedom of access to the “International Business Center” - an area with all the infrastructure necessary to provide the members of our delegation with due comfort and convenience.

Associate members are also invited to participate in parallel events organized by Sobratema in association with Brazilian embassies abroad. At these encounters, participants can enlarge their networks, gain information and even begin talks that wind up leading to new business.

All of these advantages can be experienced at MINExpo, which takes place from September 24th to 26th , 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada - USA. With the support of the U.S. Commercial Service, Sobratema intends to take a significantly large group of professionals to visit this event which is considered the world’s largest event for the area of mining.
