Sobratema – The Brazilian Association Technology for Equipment and Maintenance held an event on July 25th to announce and consolidate the participation of the construction sector’s main representative associations on the Council of Construction Expo 2013 - 2nd International Trade Show of Building and Infrastructure Construction.

Among the sector organizations that have confirmed their participation are: ABCEM - Brazilian Association of Steel Construction, ABCIC – Brazilian Association of Industrialized Concrete Construction, ABIFER – Brazilian Rail Industry Association, ABRAMAT - Brazilian Association of the Building Materials Industry, ABRAVIDRO - Brazilian Association of Plate Glass Distributors and Processors, ABRASFE – Brazilian Association of Formwork and Shoring Companies, ANEPAC – Brazilian Construction Aggregate Producers Association, CBCS - Brazilian Council for Sustainable Construction, CTE - Center for Building Technology, DRYWALL - Brazilian Drywall Association, Carlos Alberto Vanzolini Foundation, IABr - Brazilian Steel Institute, IBRACON - Brazilian Concrete Institute, ENGINEERING INSTITUTE – SP, SINAENCO - National Union of Architectural and Consulting Engineering Companies, SINDAREIA – Union of Sand Mining Companies of the State of São Paulo, SINDUSCON-SP - Union of the Civil Construction Industry of the State of São Paulo,  and SINICESP - Union of the Heavy Construction Industry of the State of São Paulo.  

According to Sobratema president Afonso Mamede, the participation and support of these sector associations reinforces the role of Construction Expo 2013 – the only trade fair in Brazil to integrate the entire construction business chain. “The representativeness of each and every one of these associations translates the fair’s concept which is to display the very latest and technological there is in the segment, debate the main issues that involve the sector as a whole, and present the trends that will leave their mark in building and infrastructure construction in the country over the next few years,” he states.      

Besides this particular meeting, Sobratema had held another meeting in June, at the headquarters of Sinduscon/SP, with the presence of twelve associations that participate on Board of Construction Expo 2013.
