Launch of the 2012-2014 Edition of the Sobratema Guide to Equipment

The Sobratema Guide to Equipment 2012-2014 compiles and organizes information and specifications for 1,674 items of equipment - both national and imported - produced by 108 different manufacturers. With a list divided into 35 families of equipment - three more than in the previous edition when the publication was still called the ‘Brazilian Yearbook for Construction Equipment’ - the Sobratema Guide to Equipment 2012-2014 is designed to contribute toward decision making by executives and to the work of engineers and technicians who are responsible for the operation and productivity of machines.

 

One of the main new features of this edition is the version for tablets and smartphones equipped with the iOS or Android operating systems. The association’s aim in providing this version is to bring greater mobility to decision making by the sector’s executives and business owners in situations that involve the sale, rental and utilization of equipment.

 

The version for mobile devices offers the same features of the DVD that accompanies the print edition, except for the software program that enables comparisons between equipment of different brands and models. To access the Guide on a tablet or smartphone, just download the app from the iTunes store or Google Play depending on your mobile device. 

 

The 2012-2014 edition of the Sobratema Guide to Equipment consists of two volumes: volume one with equipment for the sector of earthmoving and grading, and volume two with machines for concreting, paving, and handling of cargo/loads. Each volume will be updated biennially - that is, the next edition will only have the area of cargo handling to which technical specifications and models of cranes of up to 70 tons will be added.
