The aim of the Corinthians Sports Arena Hall is to show the challenges involved in the technology and construction of an endeavor of this magnitude, which will total 189,000 m² of constructed area utilizing: 9,700 precast concrete slabs, 2,500 precast beams, 900 precast pillars, and a deep foundation with 3,100 precast piles and root piles (‘pali radice’). After completion, the soccer stadium will seat 48,000 fans. In the final stage of construction, the stadium will receive an additional 20,000 temporary seats increasing its capacity to 68,000 spectators, as required by FIFA (the International Federation of Association Football) for the opening game of the 2014 World Cup.

This show hall will also have stands and a ‘concept area’ which will present the sequence of phases in the construction of the project. That will include display panels, videos and photos from the beginning of earthmoving for the project’s construction in May 2011, on through to the phase that will be underway during Construction Expo 2013, and further along until the scheduled completion and final result of its construction.

The hall’s stands will feature suppliers and providers of services involved in the project, who will have an opportunity to display the technology, services, materials and equipment that are being used in the construction of this initiative to the trade show’s select public, consisting mainly of engineers and professionals in the areas of construction. Among the exhibitors at the Corinthians Arena Hall, visitors will find suppliers of electrical and hydraulic materials and inputs for the project’s installation, in addition to renters of equipment and providers of assorted services.  Odebrecht Infrastructure is the company responsible for the engineering and construction of the new stadium for Sport Club Corinthians Paulista.
