Sobratema promotes event to discuss trends in the construction market

Event will also introduce three products that are being released by the association

 Sobratema will host, this coming November 13th at Espaço Hakka in the city of São Paulo, the event ‘Tendências no Mercado da Construção’ (Trends in the Construction Market) to present the outlook and prospects for the next few years in the segment of construction equipment and in the area of infrastructure construction.

The event will include four talks by specialists and professionals with expertise in the construction market: Consultant Brian Nicholson will present the trends in the segment of construction equipment; Professor Rubens Sawaya will speak on the state of the economy and its impact on this sector;  Engineer Norwil Veloso will present domestic and foreign-made equipment for handling of cargo, vertical movement and transportation, and working from heights that are available for use in the country; and Engineer Mário Humberto Marques will highlight the main investments in infrastructure in Brazil through 2018, per sector and per region.

According to Paulo Oscar Auler Neto, vice-president at Sobratema, the information that will be presented by the speakers is exclusive and never before released. “Thus, this will be a unique opportunity for professionals in the sector to obtain relevant information that can contribute toward decision making in their businesses”, he states.

Product Launch

During the event  ‘Trends in the Construction Market’, Sobratema will also announce the release of three products:  Guia Sobratema de Equipamentos 2013-2015 (Sobratema Guide to Equipment 2013-2015); Estudo Sobratema do Mercado Brasileiro de Equipamentos para a Construção (Sobratema Study of the Brazilian Market for Construction Equipment), and Pesquisa Principais Investimentos em Infraestrutura no Brasil até 2018 (survey on the Main Investments in Infrastructure in Brazil through 2018).

The Sobratema Guide to Equipment 2013-2015 will provide combined information on over 800 models of domestic and imported equipment for cargo handling; vertical movement and transportation; and working from heights, divided into eleven equipment families. The objective is to provide an encompassing, technical tool of reference that contributes to the activities and decisions that construction professionals have to make.

The Sobratema Study of the Brazilian Market for Construction Equipment provides information and statistics on sales of the main types of equipment in Brazil, makes econometric projections and presents a panorama on the sector for the next five years, in addition to providing information on the markets for equipment in five countries in South America.

And finally, the survey on the Main Investments in Infrastructure in Brazil through 2018 organizes information from 1,200 primary and secondary sources to present the perspectives for eight sectors of the economy, their main projects and the amounts to be invested, consolidating these data per region of the country and state.
