New publication gathers data about machines of load hoisting and handling, vertical transportation and work in high places

Machines were grouped in 11 families, seven of them corresponding to cranes of different types. These families are: elevators, forklifts, knuckle-boom cranes, truck cranes TC and AT with telescopic boom, cranes type RT with telescopic boom, tower cranes, crawler cranes with telescopic and lattice boom, telehandlers and aerial work platforms. 

The Sobratema Equipment Guide for 2013-2015 was developed to attend a necessity of the market, gathering technical data and complete specifications of equipment for load hoisting and handling, vertical transport and work in high places available in the Brazilian market. In this context, this publication is an instrument of technical reference for executives, engineers and professionals involved with procurement and operation of these machines, being a support to allow assertive decisions about the more suitable equipment for infrastructure works and for project development.

Besides the printed version, available in the Sobratema’s Shop (www.sobratema.org.br/LojaSobratema), an exclusive version for tablets and smartphones is also offered, with operational systems iOS and Android. This version allows the access to information in a user-friendly way and in any place and time, for example, a worksite or a business meeting. The application can be found in the shops Apple Store and Google Play. 

One of the new features of the Sobratema Equipment Guide is a complete reshaping of the official site (www.guiasobratema.org.br), with a modern layout, a friendly navigation and the possibility of carry out—with just some clicks—comparisons between models of the same family. The site is open to the public with no restrictions of access, making easy the survey of important information about the equipment market. Sobratema thinks that the appropriate selection of a machine is fundamental to ensure the productivity in the field. 

The input screen for equipment comparison is located in the opening page and allows the reader to know, for example, which are the models of each manufacturer available in the national market. There is also a list of the manufacturers and their dealers in the whole country as well as notices and expectations of the industry for the next years.
