President of Sobratema is honored in the IX ESFE

More than 600 persons took part in the event that carried out a series of activities focused on business tourism

During the IX Meeting of Trade Shows and Events (ESFE), carried out in February 18 at the Golden Hall of the WTC Convention Center, in São Paulo, Afonso Mamede—president of Sobratema (Brazilian Association of Technology for Construction and Mining)—was honored as one of the main leaderships in the area of business tourism in 2013 due to the well-succeeded realization of Construction Expo 2013 (International Trade Show of Edification and Infrastructure).

The trade show highlighted the main news in the areas of services, materials and equipment for infrastructure and edification works, innovating wit Thematic Halls that emphasized the technologic improvement of construction, the excellence in construction processes used in the works and the evolution of the whole chain of this industry.

“Our purpose—when promoting the Construction Expo—was to show to the public the construction technologies and processes used in worksites and real estate works, showing that our industry developed a high level of competition and is using the more advanced resources to bring our country to a higher standard in infrastructure,” says Mamede. “That is why this homage is a strong recognition and reinforces our position as an organization that is working for more than 25 years in the improvement of the construction and mining production chain”, adds him.

Besides the president of Sobratema, other personalities of the tourism business were honored in the IX ESFE, which had a public of more than 600 professionals. The event also carried out four panels of debate, where exhibitions, events, destinations and infrastructure were discussed.

Organized by the Grupo Radar de Comunicação, leaded by the businessman and advertiser Octavio Neto, the event also carried out an exhibition related to Business Tourism. The exhibition made easy the contact between event and exhibition promoters, event agencies, trip and incentive managers, buyers and facility managers.
