M&T Parts and Services will be a showcase of new products for aftersales and management of construction and mining equipment

From June 3 to 6 the main players of this industry—whose business volume is estimated in R$ 6 billion per year—will be gathered in this event

The relentless search for productivity in infrastructure works and in the areas of construction and mining leaded equipment manufacturers to focus their investments in two main areas: technologic innovation and aftersales. The first area resulted in machines of high technologic level, several applications and a lot of on-board electronics. The second area determined an agile and appropriate attendance and an effective support, many times in the field of operation.

“Besides the loss of productivity, a non-productive equipment brings other problems to its users, that may even affect the time schedule of the work. For this reason, an effective and high-level aftersales service is essential to ensure that the revenues got with the use of on-board technology and of electronic systems would be potentiated by the non-stop operation of the equipment in the field”, says Hugo Ribas Branco, Sobratema’s director of operations and trade shows.

Due to its importance for the area of construction and mining, aftersales service is one of the main sections of the M&T Parts and Services – 2nd Trade Show and Congress of Equipment Technology and Management for Construction and Mining, to be carried out from June 3 to 6 at the Imigrantes Exhibition & Convention Center (SP).

During the event, a series of news in parts, materials, components, services and solutions for this industry—including electric, hydraulic and transmission systems, tires and undercarriage, lubricants, filters, laboratories of oil analyses, control systems, ground penetration tools, shop machines and tools, safety equipment, PPE, light equipment, fixing and lifting devices, products and systems for environmental control, maintenance services—will be presented.

“The purpose of the trade show is to anticipate trends that contribute to increase the productivity of machines used in worksites and in aggregate and raw material extracting plants. It has an important role in supplying networking opportunities and creating conditions for contacts and negotiations, and in spreading knowledge about market and technologic innovations”, explains Ribas. The business volume involving spare parts, materials and services for construction and mining equipment in Brazil is estimated in approximately R$ 6 billion per year. There are more than 12,000 maintenance shops for machine and equipment in the country.

Another area that composes—together with aftersales—the two pillars of M&T Parts and Services is equipment management. Incorporated in this edition of the trade show, this area   also plays an important role in terms of productivity and safety improvement and in reduction of maintenance costs in construction and mining fleets. “The technologic tools available allow data gathering and analysis, carrying intelligence to strategic activities of the company”, says Ribas.

In the exhibition, the 18,000 expected visitors will have the opportunity to know new solutions for this area, including technologic solutions for remote monitoring and control of equipment, on-board electronic systems, telemetry systems, navigation systems, operation simulators, management softwares.

As the sole trade show directed exclusively to the areas of management, aftersales, materials and components for construction and mining equipment, the event will also present the Hall of Technology, Safety and Sustainability, a unique initiative that  will show to the visitor what this area is doing in terms of innovation to improve in several aspects the experience and the cost-benefit rate for equipment users. To do so, this exclusive space will gather in a single place the innovative concepts of parts and component manufacturers that are exposing in the trade show. It is an excellent opportunity to check trends and to highlight the competitive differentials of each brand.

To take part, visitors have to file their on-line registration, which makes easier the access to the event. Just access the official site (www.mtps.org.br), click on the highlighted banner and follow the instructions for registration, in a practical and free way.

Congress

Another important initiative of M&T Parts and Services in 2014 is a Congress integrated to the event, enlarging this way the proposal of giving to the visitor an environment of wide access to information, diffusion of new technologies and knowledge of the area.

M&T Parts and Services Congress was formatted in seminars about the main subjects related to this area, such as hybrid machines, training, new technologies, productivity, sustainability and automation, showing trends and news available in the Brazilian market.

Sobratema is responsible by the organization of the Congress, that will be carried out in June 4 and 5 in the same place of the exhibition. This entity will coordinate three seminars, one of them presented by the Instituto Opus. The remaining seminars will be promoted by entities that support the trade show, including Abendi – Brazilian Association of Non-destructive Tests and Inspection, Abifer – Brazilian Association of Railway Industry, ABRAMAN – Association of Brazilian Companies of Maintenance, Anicer – National Association of Ceramic Industry, IE – Engineering Institute, SINDIPEDRAS – Union of Mining Industry of Crushed Stone in the State of São Paulo, Sindipesa – National Union of Heavy-load Transport and Handling, and Valorization of Rental, that is supported by ABELME – Association of Equipment Rental Companies from Bahia, ALEC – Association of Equipment Rental Companies for Civil Construction, APELMAT – Association of Contractors and Earthmoving and Pneumatic Machine Rental Companies, Sindileq-CE – Union of Equipment, Machine and Tool Rental of Ceará, Sindileq-GO – Union of Equipment, Machine and Tool Rental of Goiás,  Sindileq-MG – Sindileq-CE – Union of Equipment, Machine and Tool Rental of Minas Gerais, Sindileq-PE – Union of Equipment, Machine and Tool Rental of Pernambuco and Sindileq-RN – Union of Equipment, Machine and Tool Rental of Rio Grande do Norte.
