Until Friday, visitors can see the technological progresses in management, parts, after-sale of equipment which will be used daily in jobsites

In the opening solemnity, which had the presence of a number of political and economic authorities, the proposals that move the meeting were presented, such as the information diffusion, benchmarking and the introduction of new technologies. “During the accomplishment of any job, one of the main concerns of engineering companies is to maintain the pieces of equipment operatging with efficiency and continuously. For us, the idle equipment means loss and delays”, said Afonnso Mamede, Sobratema President, in his speech.

For this reason, according to him, studies and planning are carried out and careful chronograms are defined for each and every job, on the assumption that machines, trucks, cranes and other pieces of equipment that are involved, operate smoothly, keeping the scheduled maintenances standards. “Whether they are owned or rented pieces of equipment, the persons who are accountable for the jobsite  hope that they operate and, if anything uncommon happens, the repair should be done as soon and in the most efficient way as possible”, added Mamede.

Reminding delays that were recorded in some important jobs, the President of Sobratema pointed out that the companies need to be aware of internal events that can also cause delays and upon which they can act. “Among such internal events, to service and maintain the pieces of equipment in excellent operation conditions is of fundamental importance. And this is the focus of this fair: M&T PS is the main window of maintenance and service rendering for the pieces of equipment used in the construction and mining industries”, he added.

Finally, Mamede also reminded the great technological progress seen in the industry. According to him, until recently, it would be unthinkable that a construction of mining company would be able to follow, from its headquarters, “in real time”, the performance of a machine of even the productivity of an operator in a jobsite, wherever in the planet. “Today this is not only possible, as it is a reality for many companies in Brazil and abroad. And more, the company can even control items such as fuel consumption, itinerary diversions and the unproductive time. All this remotely”, concludes Mamede, saying that these and other technologies are exhibited in M&T Parts and Services.
