More than 1500 machines are detailed in the 2014-2016 edition of the Sobratema Equipment Guide

Publication is a technical reference in the industry

The new edition of the Sobratema Equipment Guide presents technical information and specifications of 1556 machines of 98 different brands—produced in the country and overseas—for excavation, loading, transport, concrete and asphalt paving. The 2014-2016 edition was issued by Sobratema – Brazilian Association of Technology for Construction and Mining, in the strategic event Tendências no Mercado da Construção (Construction Market Trends), carried out in November 12 in São Paulo.

Users may consult data about equipment in its 690 pages. Information is divided in 33 different families: concrete mixers, concrete pumps,  concrete plants, distribution booms for concrete, mobile crushers, articulated trucks, off-road trucks, on-the-road trucks, dumpers, crawler drills, combined compactors, tire compactors, static compactors, vibratory compactors, air compressors, excavators, mini-excavators, skid steer loaders, loaders, motor graders,  crawler tractors, wheel tractors, backhoes,  cold planers, asphalt reclaimers, asphalt plants, soil plants and asphalt pavers.

The edition 2014-2016 of the Sobratema Equipment Guide introduces some new features if compared to its former editions. One of them is an optimized layout, developed to make easier to handle the printed version and to get information about machine models and brands. To do so, Sobratema included technical data of three machines per page (in the former editions, the layout was different, containing only one machine per page) and removed the drawings, that now are available only in the official website www.guiasobratema.org.br.

Another information included in this edition was the reference price of each model.

These changes were result of a market survey  carried out this year among Sobratema associates and guide users, which confirmed the importance of that content and of a more easy-to-handle layout.

To enlarge its scope of sending qualified information to the professionals that deal with construction, mining and industrial equipment, the 2014-2016 Sobratema Equipment Guide  included also 67 technical supporting texts about machine maintenance and management. Among the subjects covered by these texts are emission control, conversion of units, layout of maintenance shops, incoterms, performance indicators, ISO 9000, weight control, lubrication, tire specifications, ROPS/FOPS, tire selection and others.

Mobility

The on-line version of the Guide is already updated with the information of this edition. In addition to consult technical specifications, the user may carry out—with a few clicks—comparisons among machines of the same family and may know the equipment of each manufacturer available in the national market. A list of manufacturers and their dealers in the whole country is also available.

The Guide offers also a version for tablets and smartphones, with IOS and Android operating systems, that allows the access to information in an easy way, at any place—such as, for example, a worksite or a business meeting—and time. The application may be found in Apple Store and Google Play shops.

The 2014-2016 Sobratema Equipment Guide is a reference instrument for executives, engineers and professionals responsible by machine purchasing and operation. Containing important information about each machine, this publication contributes to ensure a more assertive decision when selecting equipment for a work, in infrastructure or building construction. The printed version may be bought in the Sobratema store:  www.sobratema.org.br/LojaSobratema.
