Sobratema (Brazilian Association of Technology for Construction and Mining) will award the best aftersales in November

Associates of the entity will evaluate the aftersales solutions of 191 brands of five different categories till October 15

The construction market will know the best-voted brands of the project “Melhor Pós-venda (Best Aftersales) 2015 – Sobratema”, during the strategic event Tendências no Mercado da Construção (Trends in the Construction Market), to be carried out in November 11 in São Paulo. Designed by the Sobratema’s Young Core, the award aims to stimulate the search for excellence in the services rendered to the clients by the manufacturers of construction equipment.

To define the best-voted brands, Sobratema sent questionnaires to 640 associated companies and professionals, which will evaluate the quality of aftersales services of 191 brands dividing them in five categories: excavation, load handling, transport, paving and concrete. Among the subjects analyzed are attendance (including proposal); delivery time and guarantee; quality (related to parts and services); and supporting documents, including manuals, catalogs and technical bulletins.

Evaluation deadline for companies and professionals is October 15. After this date, the second phase—analysis of information and tabulation of the results—will be started. During the event Tendências no Mercado da Construção, the five companies better classified in each category will receive an award as a form of acknowledgement and a seal to be used in their promotional materials.

According to Antonio Miranda, member of the Young Core and coordinator of the project “Melhor Pós-Venda 2015 – Sobratema”, the area of aftersales plays a strategic role in the industry. “By one side to ensure the profitability and competitiveness of equipment manufacturers and by the other, to attend the demand of the users, that are constantly looking for technology, innovation and new features which could increase productivity and sustainability in their operations”.

Therefore—according to Miranda—the initiative is a way to appreciate and value the actions and investments carried out by the manufacturers in the area of aftersales and also to show the importance of supplier’s commitment with the success of its clients.

The project “Melhor Pós-Venda 2015 – Sobratema”—started in the M&T Expo 2015 – Feira e Congresso Internacionais de Equipamentos para Construção e Mineração (International Trade Show and Congress of Equipment for Construction and Mining)—is the first initiative carried out by Sobratema’s Young Core, a group formed by executives and professionals of contractors, quarries, equipment manufacturers, dealers and rental companies.
