A bridge cast between the United States and Brazil: World of Concrete to have an unprecedented pavilion at Construction Expo 2016
The largest trade show dedicated to concrete in the Americas establishes a history-making partnership with Sobratema and brings its own pavilion to Construction Expo 2016, with an unprecedented model of cooperation offered by the association to domestic and foreign companies
A bridge cast in concrete has just been completed between Brazil and the United States. Sobratema – the Brazilian Association of Technology for Construction and Mining has established a cooperation agreement with World of Concrete (WOC) - the largest international event dedicated to concrete in the Americas - to bring to Brazil the World of Concrete Pavilion. The event will join Construction Expo 2016 with an unprecedented pavilion of its own. Construction Expo takes place from June 15th through 17th, 2016 at the São Paulo Expo Exhibition & Convention Center, in the city of São Paulo, SP - Brazil.
In times of shared economies, event organizers and promoters combined their efforts to present an alternative for participation in trade shows, reducing costs and offering all of the necessary conditions for the participation of national and international concrete-industry exhibitors, in an unprecedented partnership in Brazil.
The main innovation lies in the business model adopted by the World of Concrete Pavilion, which will have booths designed for enhanced efficiencies, and in the strategy which establishes the event will be held triennially every three years. “With that, we hope to meet the market’s demand for an optimized mode of participation in line with today’s economic scenario that calls for lower costs”, points out Hugo José Ribas Branco - Director of Operations at Sobratema.
The World of Concrete Pavilion intends to bring to Brazil a sample of the innovation and technology that exhibitors and visitors alike find on display at the event held in the United States, whether in products or expert information. One of the high points of the event will be a round of talks integrated with the Construction Expo Congress with the presentation of cases and technologies applied in outstanding infrastructure and housing construction works in the USA, and the promotion of a new route for the exchanging of knowledge and experience between Brazilian and foreign professionals in the concrete industry.
The 41st edition of WOC in 2015 gathered 1,459 exhibitors in an exhibition area of over 100,000 m2²
