Sobratema Workshop 2016 will debate technologies and concepts of compaction equipment

The event—that will have an innovative format—will be carried out in April 6th at São Paulo

The investments in infrastructure that were carried out in Brazil during the last years contributed to allow the entrance of new players—specially coming from Asia—in the compaction market, what increased the size and competitiveness of this industry. According to the Sobratema Study of the Brazilian Market of Construction Equipment, an average of 1.8 thousand new compactors was sold from 2010 to 2015. In 2007, the total sold was of 446 units.

In this sense, the main manufacturers are supporting their strategies of growth and market share on the use of new on-board technologies such as, for example, compaction control through GPS, automatic control of water flow and automation technologies for operation monitoring, which increase users’ productivity and quality in asphalt and soil compaction.

Looking to this scenario of innovation in this market, Sobratema – Brazilian Association of Technology for Construction and Mining will carry out in April 6th at São Paulo, the Sobratema Workshop 2016, which has as its main approach Compaction – Technologies and Concepts. “Our purpose is to provide technical and market knowledge for engineers, professionals, technicians and experts from contractors and rental companies, and to contribute for the assertive application of equipment, in accordance with  the features of each work in a way to increase productivity, quality, safety and sustainability”, explains Paulo Oscar Auler Neto, vice-president of the entity.

To ensure a comprehensive debate about this subject, Sobratema brings a new feature for this edition: its format, composed by panels with at least three experts of the main manufacturers of compaction equipment in Brazil. The following subjects will be discussed, among others: technologies for soil compaction, low-size compaction equipment (features and application), and technologies for asphalt compaction.

According to Auler Neto, knowing the evolution and the technical development of the area of compaction, the participants will have the opportunity to see what is being already used by equipment manufacturers in Brazil and what is the future of the technology in this area is. “In addition, this technical knowledge may contribute for the day-to-day of the professional inside his company and in the field”, says him.
