Opus Institute will carry out courses for construction equipment professionals

 During the months of September and October the Opus Institute from Sobratema – Brazilian Association pof Technology for Construction and Mining will carry out courses for professionals who are working in the area of equipment for construction, mining and infrastructure.

The course of Rigger, directed to professionals responsible by the planning of load lifting operations will be carried out in September (12 to 16) and in October (17 to 21). Among the subjects to be explained are: determining factors in operations with more than one crane, development of a rigging plan, reading and interpretation of load charts and tables, among others.

The course of Equipment and Fleet Maintenance Management will be carried out in September, 26 and 27 having as its main purpose to allow the participants to carry out a rational management of their fleets, what will result in cost reduction and increase ofd productivity of operating equiment and vehicles.

Carried out between October, 3 and 6, the course of Rigging Foreman will allow the professional—through theoretical and practical knowledge—to understand and identify the concepts of a rigging plan in a way to carry out the corresponding activities in a safe and correct way. Among its contents, subjects such as study and exercises about load charts and operating risk factors will be explained.

At the end of October (24 to 26), the Opus Institute programmed the course of Fleet Management, which includes in its program subjects such as  fleet management cycle, fuel supply and lubrication management and calculation of operating costs.
