Solutions for treatment of effluents will be presented in the BW Expo 2017

TRADE SHOW WILL BE CARRIED OUT DURING THE WEEK OF INTEGRATED TECHNOLOGIES FOR COSTRUCTION, ENVIRONMENT AND EQUIPMENT

The water demand in plants located in the countries that compose the BRICS—Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa—will grow between 7 and 22 percent until 2050. In addition to increase in the water used in thermoelectric plants, the total rate may reach 55 percent. These data came from the World Report about Hydric Resources Development, from Unesco (United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture).

This expressive increase of water consumption results in a concern by the governments, companies and society. Consequently, actions are currently being carried out to reduce the waste of this natural resource, to face water pollution and to make feasible technologies for its reuse.

One of these measures is the treating of effluents which result from domestic sewage and of polluted water coming from cooling, rain, industrial processes or agriculture. Considering the variety of industries located at the urban centers, the effluents generated have different volumes and physical, chemical and biologic compositions. Therefore, they have different levels of risk in terms of pollution, may be quite harmful to the environment and may contaminate seriously rivers, lakes and water tables if they contain, for example, heavy metals, synthetic additives, chemical products, oils and others.

To show solutions that may contribute to the treatment of effluents, improving therefore the quality of water management, the BW Expo 2017 – Trade Show of Services and Technologies for Sustainable Management of Water, Waste, Air and Energy will be carried out between June 7 and 9, during the Week of Integrated Technologies for Construction, Environment and Equipment. One of the companies that already confirmed its participation in the trade show is SuperBac, that will present its solutions for the biologic treatment of industrial effluents with the use of high-performance bio-technologic consortiums for treatment systems (Treatment Plant of Wastewater, ponds and reservoirs), equipment cleaning processes and specific interventions.

“We will highlight the Blend of selected microorganisms, alone or combined for organic degradation of specific compounds in treatment systems of effluents and contaminated areas”, says Thales Souza, Business Development Manager from SuperBAC. With the participation of the company in the BW Expo he hopes to expose the brand in the market ad to close sales. “To understand the buying behavior of the areas related to our business and to enlarge our network making our products more known to increase sales are our main purposes”, points him.

The treatment of some industrial effluents has also benefits such as the reuse of water in other productive activities (garden irrigation, equipment and yard washing, reduction of expenses and economy of this natural resource). According to data coming from Unesco, each dollar invested in water supply and sanitation will bring a return varying from US$ 5 to US$ 28.

Since it is the sole event that deals with the four macro-vectors connected to environmental sustainability, BW Expo will also present news in the area of water management related to water extraction, membranes, coast protection, flood control, pumps, aerators, separators, piping, fittings and draining systems, in addition to laboratory analyses. Companies operating in the area of water process engineering, such as the integrators in water treatment plants and supply are also expected.

The Week of Integrated Technologies for Construction, Environment and Equipment will also have the Construction Expo 2017 – International Trade Show of Buildings and Infrastructure Works – Services, Materials and Equipment, the M&T Parts and Services 2017 – Trade Show and Congress of Technology and Management of Construction and Mining Equipment, and the Sobratema Summit 2017, the largest event of content in the area of construction and environment of the Brazilian market.
