EXPERTS PRESENT NEW PRACTICES OF EQUIPMENT AND TRUCK MAINTENANCE IN THE SOBRATEMA WORKSHOP 2017

The investments of equipment manufacturers to ensure the technologic development of the industry brought several benefits for contractors, mining companies, rental companies, quarries and transporters, especially the increase in productivity and sustainability, as well as a better management of the operation. This increased profitability and competitiveness of these companies.

The application of innovative systems also impacted the area of maintenance, from its planning to its development and follow-up. “New practices were developed to match with this reality, since the new solutions of telemetry allowed users to obtain indicators that help to better understand equipment operation. This results in an evaluation referred to a more assertive maintenance”, analyses Paulo Oscar Auler Neto, vice-president of Brazilian Association of Technology for Construction and Mining (Sobratema), that will carry out the Sobratema Workshop 2017 in next April 5.

The subject of this edition is “New practices of maintenance in the current scenario”. “In addition to the changes occurred in this industry during the last years, its importance in the context that the country is living highlights its relevance. With the expectation of a retaking in the economy and of increase in infrastructure investments to be carried out this year, the area will be one of the pillars for equipment manufacturers and rental companies, as well as for the contractors, since the machines have to be ready to attend future demands”, explains Auler Neto.

The purpose of Sobratema in producing the Workshop is to ensure a comprehensive debate of these subjects, to contribute for their updating. This way, equipment users will be updated about what is being used in the country and may plan more precisely the maintenance of their machines. For this reason, the event will have a different format that includes three lectures presented by maintenance experts and a panel-debate with six representatives of areas that use equipment: construction, mining, rental, transport, quarries and load handling.

Directed to engineers, professionals, technicians and experts that work with equipment, the Sobratema Workshop 2017—that will be carried out in the Centro Britânico Brasileiro, in São Paulo—is an opportunity to receive new technical knowledge, to debate new ideas and to improve the relationship with different players of the market.
