Sobratema (Brazilian Association of Technology for Construction and Mining) has just signed an association agreement with Messe München (the organizing entity of bauma) for a joint cooperation in the promotion of its trade shows: M&T Expo – International Exhibition and Congress for Construction and Mining Equipment, Construction Expo – Trade Show of Building and Infrastructure Construction and M&T Parts and Services – Trade Show and Congress for Technology and Management of Construction and Mining Equipment.

According to Afonso Mamede, President of Sobratema, this association represents an opportunity to further promote, the accomplishment of bilateral business and the access of new technologies in the national market, which contribute to the sustainable development of infrastructure and the construction in the country. Thoughtful to the market demands, Sobratema is an institution concerned with the diffusion of new technologies, with the end user in mind, and its technological and professional development, the management of equipment for the construction and mining areas, the search for the optimization of investments and the excellence in the performance of operation and maintenance. SOBRATEMA and the success of its trade shows

Considered as the thermometer of the construction and mining equipment area, as the users wait for the event to buy their machines, M&T Expo celebrated its 20 years of a successful trajectory in 2015, by gathering 45,755 national and international visitors, and 478 exhibitors, representing 25 countries, in a 100 thousand square meter exposition area, despite the recessive moment that the market was facing in that year. The trade show is triennial and represents between 20% and 30% of the total volume of the annual sales of equipment, and this confirms its role as an important source of business generation for machines manufacturers and dealers, stimulating the competitiveness, the economical, financial and technological development of the construction and mining area in their entirety. The new edition of M&T Expo will be held in 2018 at the newest and most modern exhibition and convention center in South America: the Sao Paulo Expo.

On the other hand, Construction Expo is recognized as the trade show for the professional of the Construction Area in Brazil and M&T Parts and Services  is the only fair devoted to the after sale area and the management of equipment for construction and mining. Both events will be held this year in July, during the “Week of the Integrated Technologies for Construction, Environment and Equipment”.

“Cooperation with this construction machinery trade fair allows us access to what is the most important market for us by far in South America and strengthens our position as the world’s leading organizer of construction machinery trade fair”, explained Klaus Dittrich, Chairman & CEO of Messe München, one of the world’s leading trade-show companies. It organizes some 50 trade shows for capital and consumer goods and key high-tech industries in Munich and abroad. Messe München has a global business presence with affiliates in Europe, Asia and Africa and more than 60 foreign representatives serving more than 100 countries.
