M&T Expo will be carried out in June, 2018 with a new configuration

CONSOLIDATED AS THE LARGEST AND MOST IMPORTANT TRADE SHOW FROM THE MARKET OF CONSTRUCTION AND MINING EQUIPMENT IN LATIN AMERICA, IT WILL BE THE INDICATOR OF THE RETAKING OF THE INDUSTRY

M&T Expo 201810th International Trade Show and Congress of Construction Equipment and 8th International Trade Show and Congress of Mining Equipment will be carried out between June 5 and 8, 2018 at the São Paulo Expo Exhibition & Convention Center, in São Paulo. The event is an initiative of the Brazilian Association of Technology for Construction and Mining (Sobratema), organized in association with the Messe München (promoter of bauma) and has complete synergy with the trade shows that will be carried out during this year.

Acknowledged as the largest and most important trade show of these industries in Latin America, it will have a new configuration that resulted from the modernization of the São Paulo Expo, where the existing pavilion with 40,000 sq.mt. was refurbished and another pavilion with 50,000 sq.mt and a convention center with 10,000 sq.mt were built, making available a total area of 100,000 sq.mt. A new parking building was also built. It has a capacity of five thousand vehicles (4500 covered slots) and is the largest covered parking area of Brazil.

This new configuration of the M&T Expo 2018—presented in an event carried out in March 15 where the association with Messe Munchen was also announced—attends the current demands of the market and will provide a new experience for exhibitors and visitors. A conditioning system will add more comfort to all professionals that will walk through the exhibition pavilion and the convention center. New accesses were also built to make easier the access to the trade show.

The expectations are positive for this edition, since the event is historically considered an indicator for construction and mining equipment industry. Most buyers prefer to wait the trade show to know manufacturers’ innovations, negotiate the acquisition of new equipment or end ongoing deals. In 2015, sales volume before, during and after the M&T Expo represented 20 to 30 percent of the total volume of sales in that year, of R$ 10 billion due to the deceleration.

In terms of exhibitors and visitors, the estimations are that M&T Expo 2018 will overcome the last edition, that reached an expressive frequency of qualified public (not less than 45,755 visitors) and 478 exhibitors coming from 25 countries – Germany, Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, South Korea, Spain, United States, Holland, India, Italy, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Russia, Singapore, Turkey and Uruguay.
