Forum debates the role of infrastructure in the country’s growth

EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE IN AUGUST 9 AT THE ESPAÇO APAS (SP)

The investments in infrastructure will reach R$ 113.5 billion in this year. This means an increase of 7.2 percent in relation to 2016, when it reached R$ 105.9 billion. For 2018, the forecast is that this total will be even higher, with an increase of 19.7 percent, corresponding to R$ 135.9 billion. These data comes from a study carried out by Inter.B consultants.

According to the Brazilian Association of Technology for Construction and Mining (Sobratema), this positive expectation is important for a more consistent retaking of national economy, since infrastructure has the potential of generating new jobs and attracting investors and investments, with direct results in people welfare. Another point that may contribute in this sense is referred to the government intentions of starting the Programa Avançar, which intends to invest a total of billions in infrastructure projects till the end of the next year.
