Rigger course from Opus Institute enlarges technical knowledge in crane operation

CARRIED OUT REGULARLY, THE COURSE IS DIRECTED TO PROFESSIONALS IN CHARGE OF LOAD LIFTING OPERATION PLANNING

The correct development of the rigging plan is fundamental to ensure productivity and efficiency operation with equipment of load handling and lifting in worksites, since it specifies all parameters to configure the cranes and the load tie-down attachments to be used in the project.

This planning is also essential to ensure the safety of all people involved in the operation, since that equipment overload, wind action, soil unevenness, breaking of load tie-down attachments, among others, represent serious risks that may result in accidents.

In this sense, the Opus Institute from the Brazilian Association of Technology for Construction and Mining (Sobratema) carries out regularly the course of Rigger for professionals in charge of operation planning for load lifting services. With a runtime of 40 hours, the course has a comprehensive program that allows the participant to get the theoretical knowledge needed to develop the rigging plan. Among the subjects discussed are determinant factors in operations with more than one crane, development of a rigging plan, interpretation and reading of load charts, among others.

In addition to the course of Rigger, the Opus Institute offers courses turned to professionals who are working in the area of construction equipment, such as the course of Asset Management. In-company courses are also offered to attend the needs of qualification and training of contractors, mining companies, quarries, manufacturers, rental companies and dealers of construction and mining equipment.
