Course of Asset Management from Opus Institute updates professionals with the most modern techniques and concepts of the industry

ITS PURPOSE IS TO GIVE A GENERAL VIEW OF FLEET MANAGEMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF MOBILE EQUIPMENT

The Opus Institute, training area from the Brazilian Association of Technology for Construction and Mining (Sobratema) gives several courses turned to the area of construction. One of these courses is that of Asset Management, to be carried out in September 27 and 28 in São Paulo. Applications may be filed through the e-mail opus@sobratema.com.br.

Directed to the professionals (engineers and foremen) that work in this area, the course has the purpose of offering a general view of the most important parameters, criteria and procedures for management and maintenance of fleets of mobile equipment.

The course has an hourly charge of 16 hours and its program content is based on the book Gerenciamento de Equipamentos e Manutenção (Equipment and Maintenance Management), written by the engineer Norwil Veloso. It is divided in modules that deal with subjects such as equipment management; costs and economic analysis; maintenance management and new techniques; lubrication; shop calculation and layout. Among other subjects, points such as performance indexes; preventive, predictive and total productive maintenance; use of third parties; good field practices; standards.

According to Renato Grampa, coordinator of the Opus Institute, “the content was developed with the purpose of updating managers with the most recent techniques of asset management and maintenance”.

Prerequisites of participation include proven experience in supervision and management functions of maintenance and management of mobile equipment (shop leader or manager) in contractors, mining companies, transporters and companies alike. Professionals with university degree have priority.

In addition to the course of Asset Management, the Opus Institute offers also other courses turned to professionals working in the area of construction equipment, such as the courses of Rigger and Rigging Supervisor. The Institute also offers in company courses to attend training and qualification necessities of contractors, mining companies, quarries, manufacturers, rental companies and construction and mining equipment dealers.
